Policies, Terms and Conditions:

Credit Cards  by 
We accept the following credit cards: Visa, MasterCard,  American Express and Discover. There is no surcharge for using your credit card to make purchases. Please be sure to provide your exact billing address and telephone number (i.e. the address and phone number your credit card bank has on file for you). Incorrect information will cause a delay in processing your order. Your credit card will be billed upon shipment of your order.

Multiple Product Orders  by 
At the time of checkout, you have the option of shipping the complete order only or ship the in-stock items right away and leave the backordered to ship when they arrive. By selecting "No" to the "Ship complete order ONLY" question, the freight charges will be adjusted to reflect the lighter package being shipped immediately, and freight charges will be added to the backordered items when they ship. Selecting "Yes" to this question may result in your order being delayed if it contains any backordered items.

Out-of-Stock Products  by 
We will ship your product as it becomes available. Usually, products ship the same day if ordered by 2:30PM (EST)  , or by the next business day if your order is received after this time and for orders received on Saturday, Sunday or any major holiday. However, there may be times when the product you have ordered is out-of-stock which will delay fulfilling your order. We will keep you informed of any products that you have ordered that are out-of-stock and unavailable for immediate shipment. You may cancel your order at any time prior to shipping. Most out-of-stock items should be back in stock in around a week unless otherwise specified on the product page.

We keep your personal information private and secure. When you make a purchase from our site, you provide your name, email address, credit card information, address, phone number, and a password. We use this information to process your orders, to keep you updated on your orders and to personalize your shopping experience.

Our secure servers protect your information using advanced encryption techniques and firewall technology.

To keep you informed about our latest offers, we may notify you of current promotions, specials and new additions to the Sample Store site. You may unsubscribe from our newsletters by following the unsubscribe instructions in any email you receive from us.

When entering any of our contests or prize drawings, you provide your name, email address and mailing address. If you win, we will send the prize to the address entered and notify you by email. When you enter a contest or drawing you are also included in our newsletter list to receive notice of promotions, specials and new additions to the Sample Store site. You may unsubscribe from this news list by following the unsubscribe instructions in any email received.

We use "cookies" to keep track of your current shopping session to personalize your experience and so that you may retrieve your shopping cart at any time.

Returns  by 
We will gladly accept the return of products provided all of the following criteria is met:
  1. The item(s) must have been purchased within the last 30 days.
  2. The item(s) must still have the original tags attached.
  3. The item(s) must never have been used, hemmed, or altered.
  4. The item(s) should be in resalable condition.
  5. The item(s) are not any of the following:
    1. any custom product (including nameplates and embroidered bags)
    2. athletic supporters (unless still sealed in its original packaging)
    3. whistles
Return shipping will be the responsibility of the customer (except in the case of defective items).  The Referee's Closet will pay for the outbound shipping on any exchanged items (within the US only) shipped via UPS Ground.  Freight for all other shipping methods are the responsibility of the customer.   Customers are free to choose any shipping method to send returned items back to us (ie. UPS, FedEx, US Postal Service, or carrier pigeon), however we strongly suggest the shipping method be something with tracking and insurance for the full value of the item(s) being returned. The customer is responsible for the item(s) until the package is delivered to our warehouse (including any lost packages or damages while in transit).
Please allow up to two weeks after delivery of a returned item for a credit to appear.  (We process returns every other week.)

Reviews  by 
The Referee's Closet welcomes our customers to write honest reviews of the products we sell. While we appreciate taking the time to provide your opinion, we reserve the right to remove reviews that include any of the following:
  • Multiple posts on the same product by the same person
  • Obscene or distasteful content
  • Reviews written by or on behalf of a person or company with a financial interest in the product or a directly competing product (including reviews by other merchants selling the product).
  • Feedback on areas not related to the physical product itself (ie. any delivery issues, packaging, or experiences with our website.)

Shipping Policy  by 
Shipping Time -- Most orders received before 2:30 PM (EST) with UPS will ship the same day, provided the product ordered is in stock. Most orders received after 2:30 PM (EST) will ship the next business day. Please add a day for orders to be shipped via the US Postal Service. Orders are not processed or shipped on Saturday or Sunday, except by prior arrangement.

Expedited Shipping (ie. Next Day Air, etc.). Selecting a shipping method other than UPS Ground or Priority Mail only guarantees the transit time - not how long it takes to process the order. Time in transit does not count the day the day a package ships or weekends/holidays. For example, a package shipped via UPS 2-Day Air on Thursday will not be delivered until Monday.

International Shipments (order shipping outside the US) - Certain companies restrict our ability to export their product outside of the United States.  Because of these policies, we are unable to ship any CCM, Reebok, Oakley, or Bauer products outside of the United States.  We would be more than happy to ship any other products internationally via either Priority Mail International or Express Mail International.  Generally speaking, delivery times for these services are 6-10 days and 5 days respectively.  The customer will be responsible for all brokerage and customs fees assessed at the time of import.  These fees are charged by the local government and The Referee's Closet has no way of knowing what those fees would be.

Shipping Rates - All of our shipping rates are based on UPS or Priority Mail rates.  You can receive a rate quote from our shopping cart at any point by just adding the desired items to the cart and entering the destination Country, State, and Postal Code.

Taxes  by 
Our Store shall automatically charge and withhold the applicable sales tax on certain items for orders delivered to addresses within New Jersey. For orders shipped to other states, you are solely responsible for all sales taxes or other taxes.
